RYA Dinghy Instructor
This 5-day Dinghy Instructor course teaches you the RYA method, the structure of the RYA and how to teach sailing.
The course is split into two parts. Over the first 4days you are taught by an RYA Coach Assessor and then on the final day a RYA moderator accompanied by a second RYA Coach Assessor will assess your suitability.
RYA standards are respected worldwide, so it is expected that the standards of any RYA Instructors are also high. It's important that pre-requisites are met.
The pre-requisites for the RYA Dinghy instructor course are:

A recognised First Aid certificate

RYA Powerboat Level 2

RYA Pre-entry Assessment
Please be aware that you will NOT be allowed to join the Instructor Course if you have not completed or passed your pre-entry assessment.
Minimum Age for this course
16 years old
Pre-Entry Assessment
The pre-entry assessment will be run by a Coach Assessor.
Not only will they be looking at your personal sailing skills, but also;

Man overboard

Sailing tight circles
-
Sailing a triangular course
-
Sailing a follow-my-leader course.
This will be assessed to advanced sailing level technique.
Successful completion of the pre-entry assessment will enable you to join the Instructor course. It is important that you satisfy yourself that you can sail to the required standard.
